J Lo's "pornographic" UK outfit causes viewers to complain to OFCOM

Fans of Britain's Got Talent were left in shock as the superstar cavorted around the stage wearing little more than skimpy underwear, a bizarre fur bolero and thigh-high boots.

She was there to give an exclusive performance of her new single, but Jennifer Lopez gave the audience and viewers of Britain's Got Talent a lot more than they bargained for as she took to the stage on Tuesday night.

The multi-platinum album-selling singer arrived on stage wearing a tiny black leotard that barely covered her famous derriere, and within moments both Twitter and viewer forums were awash with angry comments from BGT fans who were furious at the 'inappropriate' nature of her appearance.

And by Wednesday morning, broadcasting industry regulator Ofcom had been inundated with complaints from viewers who were unhappy to see such a raunchy performance on a family show.

Ofcom, the government-affiliated Office of Communications that regulates broadcasting in the United Kingdom, received a slew of complaints from viewers. 'Ofcom can confirm that it has received complaints about the Britain’s Got Talent broadcast last night, which we are assessing but not currently investigating.'

Another added: 'Think I have seen a little too much of Jennifer Lopez - meant to be a family show? #inappropriate #bgt.'

A further BGT fan waded into the conversation: 'Jennifer Lopez in rubber underwear and thigh high boots? Yeah that's great "family" viewing on #BGT.'

Meanwhile, other shocked parents criticised her risque dance moves and the fact that young girls would be watching the ITV1 show, particularly as this week marks the half-term school holiday across much of the UK.

One angry viewer said: '#JenniferLopez put some clothes on, #BGT is a family show, what sort of role model are you being for the young girls watching?'

Another fumed: 'Could Jennifer Lopez's outfit be any more inappropriate for a family show??? #bgt #jlo #thrusting?!'

While one raged: 'Watching Jennifer Lopez was almost porn!'

A spokesperson for Britain's Got Talent and ITV told the MailOnline: 'We do not believe that Jennifer Lopez's performance would have exceeded the expectations of the vast majority of the audience for this long-established entertainment programme.'

JLo certainly raised the temperature in the studio with her high-octane performance of Live It Up, which saw her surrounded by white tuxedo-wearing male dancers who lifted her off tall scaffolding before joining in an energetic dance routine.

The star's arms were covered by fluffy black fur and she went for Pretty Woman-esque thigh high black boots, while wearing her honey blonde hair straight.

And there was no slowing down in her performance, during which she showed that at the age of 43, she's not quite to give up the ghost just yet.

She did concede to 'breathing a little heavy now' after she finished the song, but the BGT judges lined up to pour praise on her. Amanda Holden was the first to share her amazement.

'JLo's arse... I just wanted to bite it! It was fabulous' the BGT judge enthused.

And Simon Cowell was quick to follow with the praise.

'Seriously, JLo. If anyone wants to know how you do it. That's how you do it,' Simon said. 'Seriously world class.'

After the performance it seemed that Jennifer's entourage wanted to share their appreciation too.

Helped onto a wall by a few of her dancers, Lopez received a standing ovation from her team waiting outside near their tour bus.

Lapping up the attention, JLo was then carried off the wall for her own safety.
