I think a lot about technology and I know that we are weary of "
The Singularity" occurring, however, we should not go back to not using it at all. What is the happy medium that would allow humanity to allow us to have better lives and not be consumed and overtaken by technology.
The Walking Dead is a prime example of what not to do. Like I stated before on Twitter, it's a warning so we better pay attention to it and not make the same mistakes they made. Though, zombies don't exist per say, but we do have people who are pretty taken over by fake news and over use of social media. I use the internet to express myself and as a learning tool mostly. I really limit my social media, if you care to know, I only use it for hobbies mostly and to keep in touch with a few friends and family.
EMF and blue light has been rumored to cause people to stay up and perhaps become zombie like. Who knows. All I do know is that I purchased an EMF reader and avoid the hot spots in my home. I also hard wired my computer to the net and my VOIP phone. I installed Twilight on all my devices to reduce the blue light too. Better safe than sorry!
Sometimes limiting things or avoiding them all together is what we should do in order to harness the positive sides of things. I sense that our society has hit the wall and we need to make like a vine and hang on together to make it over or we will end up like lost civilizations who may have ended up as cave dwellers.
I really think that limited technology is the way to go like in Star Trek and the Jetsons. We are still human but better. Some want to transform into a machine but have they not seen Robo Cop because they would be too lethal. So limited tech is the way to go. I definitely don't think that removing tech all together is a good idea either. We should not become primitive again but in the book The Universe Maker, there were 3 different levels of beings and the ones on earth were primitive, then the others had use of technology and the 3rd, The Shadows, were like Gods. Perhaps that might happen, who knows. I am holding out for The Venus Project myself, luxury communism with use of technology.
